Heresies

List of heretics in the Bible: Noah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Hosea, Elisha, and of course Jesus and all the apostles except Judas. The list is bigger ,but you get the idea.All these people were accused of heresy and bad attitude.

The study of heresy is totally fascinating. Otherwise reasonable people will turn into total monsters over slight meaningless details. At least that is how it appears at first.

Only the “powerful” try to stamp out heresy. The true servants “turn away from such things” The “sincere”[for show only] stir up passions and force conformity. The humble seek the face of G-D for consolation.

Below is a short list of important matters and of course the all important nonsense.

	Trinity


	People have been killed for both believing and denying the trinity. Which is pretty amazing for an idea that is not directly mentioned either pro or con. But not caring to take a side seems to be the worst crime.


	Worship Day

The New Testament says basically that it is OK to use any day. The Old Testament says Saturday is the Sabbath. Now that doesn’t mean that there isn’t and hasn’t been a lot of controversy. I have heard and read many times that getting it wrong means that you are anywhere from just plain ignorant to actually damned.

I like what Jesus said. Study the scriptures daily. Who can argue with that?


	Miracles

Me, I’m easily impressed. When there is food in the frig, a bandaid when I’m cut or my car starts, I am thankful for those small miracles. After being bed bound for years and needing walking aids for years, I think being able to walk and play music standing is a miracle. Even though I vaguely understand the science, its still a miraculous life we lead.

Many people believe in “supernatural” stuff. Well, G-D invented nature and everything. Why would the creator of everything find his own rules not good enough to use?

The heresy of trying to understand G-D”s methods comes to mind.


	science

Many scientist have been branded heretics for basically trying to understand G-D. Isaac Newton was a heretic for saying that the Earth wasn’t the center of the universe. He spend a large portion of his life studying Bible prophecy.Hardly anyone knows this at all. I guess being branded a heretic isn’t as sexy as being a student of G-D.

Because of all the petty idiots of the past, there is now an unnecessary separation between knowledge and spirituality.


	Proper Attire


	The New Testament says modest attire. So from that start we have had innumerable dress codes. Some require white, some black, some require various other uniforms. Some modern churches now just have social pressure to conform to local codes,
